An exceptionally special white wine. This Puligny-Montrachet comes from a plot that is an extension of Alvina Pernot & Philippe Abadie’s garden, just east of Enseignières. It’s a real step-up from the Saint-Aubin wines. The nose is elegant, with a density and weight of fruit on the palate, while retaining freshness. A little shy at first, the wine reveals its length with air. Really impressive. Nine barrels were made in 2022. This wine has a pale lemon colour, offering a discreet, elegant bouquet. There is plenty happening on the palate with some lime, some greengage, some orchard fruit, and excellent grip. This really kicks on at the finish. Made with precision.
