Product Information
This exquisite wine was highly prized in the 16th century. It was a favourite at the banquet tables of the French Kings. It was then known as the 'vin de Mauves', after the local village whose name derives from the colour 'mauve', the colour purple in French. Ruby red in colour with complex aromas showing black fruit notes complemented by lightly spiced, toasted notes. The finish is carried by a pleasant, well-integrated ageing aroma.
