Rooted in history since the Cistercian monks first planted vines here in 1150, the Morgeot vineyard remains the crown jewel of Chassagne-Montrachet. This 58-hectare Premier Cru is celebrated for its signature clay-limestone terroir, which lends wines a powerful, mineral-driven tension. Armand Heitz tends a boutique 0.44-hectare plot here, where vines planted in 2007 produce a wine of remarkable energy. In the glass, the 2021 vintage unfolds with fresh orchard fruits, subtle sea salt, and a crystalline mineral backbone. It is a vibrant, full-bodied expression defined by a meticulous, "no-sulfur" approach: hand-harvested, naturally fermented, and aged 10–12 months on lees in oak with gentle bâtonnage. Pure, energetic, and deeply authentic - this is a wine that lets its historic soil speak for itself.
